CROWNS AND BRIDGES

THESE ARE DESIGNED TO HELP REPAIR AND PROTECT A TOOTH THAT HAS BEEN DAMAGED AS A RESULT OF DECAY OR INJURY TO PROTECT THE TOOTH.

What is the difference between a crown and a bridge?

While a crown is used to cover an existing tooth, a dental bridge is used to fill in the missing space caused by one or more lost teeth. A bridge is made up of one or more false teeth with one crown on either end of the bridge.

How long does a crown/ bridge last?

With good oral hygiene, a bridge should last between ten to fifteen years for most patients. Like any dental work, your bridges and crowns will experience natural wear and tear from chewing food and grinding teeth.

How do I care for my crown/ bridge?

All these factors will contribute to ensure the best maintenance for your crown/ bridge:

  1. Diet.

  2. Floss      carefully.

  3. Avoid chewing      gum.

  4. Brush your      teeth regularly.

  5. Regular      dental Check- Ups
