When people think of a dental surgery, they usually picture sterile white walls, the sound of a drill, and a nervous wait. But if you’ve stepped into Bealby & Jones recently, you’ll know that our reception area feels a little bit different.
My name is Sara and while my job title says "Reception and Admin," I like to think of myself as the Director of First Impressions (and Lead Tea Maker!).
A Unique Experience
Booking appointments and filing paperwork are the "day job," but the heart of what we do happens in the moments in between.
In our practice, the kettle is almost always on. We believe that high-quality dental care starts the moment you walk through the door, not just when you sit in the dentist's chair.
Tea, Coffee, and Good Conversation
We have patients who have been coming to us for decades, and new faces joining us every week. What I love most is watching the reception area transform into a space for catching up. We’ve heard it all:
• Stories about grandchildren starting school.
• Debates over the best walking spots in the Peaks.
• Updates on big life events, from weddings to retirements.
There is a lot of laughter here. We find that a friendly chat and a warm drink do wonders for nervous patients. It takes the "clinical" edge off and reminds everyone that we’re all just neighbors looking after one another.
Why We Do It
Admin can be done anywhere, but providing a unique patient experience is what keeps us motivated. We aren't just treating teeth; we’re looking after people. Whether you’re here for a routine check-up or a more complex procedure, our goal is to make you feel at home before you even see the dentist.
Join the Conversation
If you’re looking for a dentist in Sheffield where you’re treated like a person rather than a patient number, we’d love to meet you. Pop in, say hello, and let’s get the kettle on.
