COMPOSITE BONDING

FIND OUT HOW COMPOSITE BONDING TREATMENT COULD BE OF HELP

What is Composite Bonding?

Composite bonding is the process of applying composite material to the teeth in order to repair or enhance them in both colour and shape. This is a tooth-coloured material that, when applied, allows the tooth to maintain its natural colour, or if the tooth is discoloured, return it to its natural colour. This is preferred by many as it is a very discreet treatment. The most common issues which can be fixed with composite bonding are chipped or crooked teeth where the composite material can be used to reshape teeth to enhance a perfect natural smile.

Benefits of Composite Bonding?

The benefits of composite bonding are that the treatment is easy to apply and can deliver fantastic results. Composite bonding treatment can be done in a single day, which can completely transform your smile and won't require any additional treatments, however we would book a review appointment a week or two after your bonding to ensure you are happy with the results, if any adjustments are needed they are done on this review appointment. The diversity of the composite material also gives you more options as to exactly which type of treatment you receive. The options include composite veneers which cover the whole tooth or composite edge bonding using a smaller amount of the material to better shape the tooth or hide discoloration.

Is Composite Bonding right for me?

There are many reasons you may be looking for a composite bonding treatment as your teeth can deteriorate over time where your teeth can become discolored or, if an accident happens, chipped too, if there is minimum deterioration to the teeth, composite bonding is most likely the best option for you, any more extensive treatments would be unnecessary. With composite bonding, your natural teeth remain intact and the composite material is applied on top of your tooth to make it appear whiter and aligned. The lifespan of this treatment is between 3 to 7 years which means if you decide at the end of that time you would no longer like them you can have them removed.
