At Bealby and Jones we aim to see our registered patients quickly for all dental emergencies.
If you are experiencing any of the following, please contact us immediately.
Bleeding from the mouth, gums, or tongue that doesn’t stop with gentle pressure after 10 to 15 minutes.
Accidents, sports injuries, or falls causing broken, knocked-out, or severely damaged teeth or facial structures.
Swelling in the mouth, face, gums, or neck, especially if accompanied by fever or difficulty breathing or swallowing.
Intense toothache or pain that is not controlled by over-the-counter pain relief medication.
Most dental emergencies do NOT require A&E treatment.
However, you must attend A&E if you have toothache AND:
Please call or visit us during working hours. Our team will do everything we can to see you as soon as possible.
Please call NHS 111 for emergencies outside of working hours. The NHS 111 service is staffed by qualified advisors and healthcare professionals who will be able to direct you to assess your best course of action.
Important: If you do require Emergency Out of Hours Treatment, please inform us and one of our dentists will assess if you may require any further additional treatment or advice.
For registered Practice Plan patients
If you are a registered Practice Plan patient, you are also covered by the Worldwide Dental Emergency Assistance Scheme. This is a discretionary scheme, from which you may be eligible to request assistance in the event of a Dental Trauma and/or Dental Emergency.
Before seeking treatment, we recommend obtaining pre-authorisation.

Our ability to offer emergency treatment for non-registered patients will depend on the level of demand from registered patients. Unfortunately, we have to give registered patients priority.
We are not able to guarantee emergency appointments for non-registered patients.
We will apply private charges for this service.
